Directions to the Pilgrim's Rest Hotel

Cappoquin is situated on the northern bank of the River Blackwater, 15 miles from Dungarvan, 55 miles from Wateford City, and 7 miles from Lismore. To Mount Melleray from Cappoquin is 4 miles.


Once you get to Cappoquin follow the signs to Mount Melleray, approximately 3 miles turn right at the cats bar you will then go past the Mount Melleray Grotto on your left, straight up another quarter of a mile and you will find us, the Mount melleray gates to the abbey is to the left, just past us.


Directions from Cork
Take the N8 road sign posted "Dublin". At Fermoy which is approximately 20 minutes drive, follow the signs to Waterford. After about 10 minutes bypass Tallow and carry straight into Lismore, which should take you approximately another 10 minutes. Turn Left at the Lismore Castle, signposted "Cappoquin" and at Cappoquin follows signposts to Mount Melleray, which is approximately 4 miles further on.
